Expansion Overview

Prior to October, most of Tournated’s operations were centered in Europe. This changed with the onboarding of Pickleball World Rankings and our entry into the Asian market. Organizations from India, China, Vietnam, and Japan joined Tournated in October. In Europe, we extended our reach into Lithuania and Czech Republic, while establishing partnerships in the UK. We’re also engaged in a significant project in the USA.

Our recent focus has been on enhancing UI/UX and introducing new features for improved functionality and user experience.

New Features

• New Tournament Page Interface
• Updated Tournament Registration Flow:
  • New design
  • Multiple category selection
  • Discount per category count
  • Partner selection from Partner list
  • “Pay for Myself Only” option
  • Organizer option to cover service and processing fees
• Full DUPR Integration: Organizers can now make DUPR mandatory during registration, requiring users to connect their DUPR accounts via a DUPR-authenticated window.
• Enhanced Data Export Options: New options for exporting DUPR matches, exporting match data for Fans Play, and printing scorecards, making pickleball tournament management more streamlined.
• Tournament Scheduling: Organizers can now create and share a daily program with participants and followers before generating the order of play.
• Stripe Connect Integration
• Custom Fees: Platform owners can now set custom fees on top of Tournated fees, allowing dynamic fees based on primary amount ranges.
• Code Optimization: Optimizations made to support larger events, such as an 800+ entry event in India, including new filters for smooth event management.

Events

In October, the Tournated team attended two major events:

• Beach Box Mallorca: One of the largest beach sports camps
• PWR India Masters in New Delhi

We also participated in How to Web in Bucharest and presented at the SEB (ie)dvesma grant program finals. In November, Tournated will attend the European Pickleball Championships in the UK.

Our founder, Nikita Ribakovs, will be a featured speaker at a prominent pickleball business conference in Dubai on January 16, 2025.

Fundraising

October marked a busy period for fundraising as we completed the BADIdeas.fund fundraising school and launched our Seed round. Currently, over 50% of the round is committed, and we aim to close by mid-December 2024. Interested investors are encouraged to reach out via email at nick@vertexo.net.
