Cyprus Tennis Federation (CTF)
General Description
The Cyprus Tennis Federation is seeking an exceptional, highly qualified and motivated National Padel Coach to lead elite athlete development and competitive performance programmes. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and implementation of training programmes for national team athletes competing at international level.
Key Responsibilities
• Programme Development: Design, implement and manage a holistic high-performance programme (technical, tactical, physical and psychological preparation) for selected national team and development squad athletes.
• Team Leadership: Serve as head coach of the National Padel Team at international competitions in which the Federation participates with National Teams.
• Athlete Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide individualised coaching guidance and manage matters relating to travel, training sessions and match preparation.
• Talent Identification: Work closely with regional coaches to identify, assess and develop talented young athletes with a view to integrating them into the national teams.
• Technical Expertise: Stay continuously updated on international developments in padel, modern training methodologies and opponent analysis, with the aim of maintaining a competitive advantage.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain detailed training records and submit regular reports to the Federation's Padel Committee.
• Compliance: Ensure that all training and competitive activities fully comply with national and international regulations, including anti-doping rules.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
• Coaching Certification: Padel Coach Certificate or equivalent from a recognised international organisation (e.g. FIP).
• Experience: High-performance coaching experience at national level, in elite sports clubs or in a professional environment, with a proven track record of developing competitive athletes.
• Padel Expertise: In-depth and advanced knowledge of modern padel techniques, tactical strategies and sport-specific physical preparation.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Greek.
• Travel: Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Cyprus for training camps and international competitions.
Desirable
• Experience as a professional player or high-level athlete in padel.
• University degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Coaching or a related field.
• Knowledge and use of performance analysis software and video technology.

Remuneration
The salary will be up to €4,000 gross per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Travel and accommodation expenses for international competitions will be covered in full by the Federation.
The hours, remuneration and venue of the National Team training sessions per month shall be determined by mutual agreement of all parties, based on the needs that arise, following a decision by the Padel Committee and approval by the Board of Directors of the CTF.
Contract Duration
The contract will be for a period of one (1) year, with the right of renewal for a further one (1) year on the same terms, provided both parties agree to continue the collaboration. The appointment will take effect from 20 April 2026.
